Invite a friend and earn cashback together

RentPay has launched a new in-app feature that allows existing users to invite a friend or family member to join up. It's our way of saying thanks for sharing the love!

There's no limit on the number of people you can invite through RentPay's 'Invite a Friend' program—the more you invite, the more you could be rewarded in cashback. As the saying goes: it pays to have friends!

How it works

RentPay's Invite a Friend feature is simple to use and all managed within the app. You can keep track of the number of people you've invited and how much cashback you've earned from successful referrals.

At the time of the 'Invite a Friend' program launch in January 2025, the introductory referral cashback offer is for the value of $10.

This cashback will be paid to both the inviter (existing RentPay user) and the invited friend (new RentPay user) once all the terms and conditions have been met.

We'll send you notifications to let you know whenever an invited friend joins RentPay, as well as whenever you and your friend have earned cashback.

Sending an invitation

Here's how to get started:

• Step 1: In the RentPay app, tap on the Invite a Friend pop-up or image tile on the dashboard.
• Step 2: On the 'Invite a Friend' screen, tap on the 'Invite friends' button where you'll be given options on how to share your unique invitation code.
• Step 3: Now the waiting game starts, or invite more friends!

Earning cashback

When both you and your invited friend has paid at least $1,500 in rent and any fees through RentPay, you each earn the cashback offered which will be paid directly into your RentPay wallet.

You can keep the cashback in your RentPay wallet to be used towards future payments, or withdraw it and use it for another purpose.

Checking invitations and cashback

To check the status of your referral activity, navigate to the 'Invite a Friend' screen in the RentPay app.

Here, you'll be able to check the following:

• 'Cashback earned' near the top of the screen displays the cumulative dollar value of the cashback amount paid into your RentPay wallet.
• 'Confirming cashback' shows the number of invited friends you've invited who are pending completion of all the cashback qualification criteria.
• 'Cashback paid' shows the number of invited friends who've completed all the cashback qualification criteria and you've both been paid the cashback.

Important note: Be patient with your friend invitations and cashback timing, as it can take several weeks for your friend to sign up to RentPay, start paying rent, and meet the qualification criteria.
