I was drawn to the option of earning rewards that can be applied toward my rent. It’s always great to find ways to save money!
I really appreciate the variety of payment options available, as it allows me to pay my rent in different ways rather than being limited to just what the real estate agency requests.
I initially used my card details, but I later discovered that I could also make payments through PayID, which I find more convenient.
My strategy is to deposit all of my income directly into my savings and only leave enough in my account for essentials like rent and direct debits. Whenever I need to make a purchase, I transfer just the amount I need.
This approach helps me manage my money more effectively because I can see my savings growing steadily, which makes me less inclined to spend on unnecessary things.
At this point, renting is really my only option. Saving to buy a house in this market is tough, especially in this current cost of living crisis.
I wanted somewhere central, and Yokine was perfect! It’s close to everything, just 5-10 minutes from the city, Scarborough Beach, Karrinyup Shopping Centre, and offers quick access to the freeway.
Plants, lots of them! I love being surrounded by greenery, and it makes me happy to see my plants thrive and grow new leaves.
My sprawling hoya vines! They started as just two pots but have since intertwined and now completely take over the back patio.
I’d love to live in a home surrounded by nature, maybe even a treehouse! That would be amazing.
I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. One thing I’d say is to remember that not everything will be brand new, sometimes, a bit of wear and tear is normal.
Make sure you’re fully satisfied with the property and location before signing a lease, especially for a 12-month term, as breaking a lease can be challenging and costly.
Research the area thoroughly to ensure it meets your lifestyle needs: is there a gym nearby? A park for morning walks? A shopping centre for those last-minute grocery runs? And don’t forget to check the commute to work, as it can significantly impact your daily routine.
Taking time to evaluate these factors now can save you headaches later.
