Competition terms & conditions

These are the RentPay 'Win a Week’s Rent' giveaway offer competition terms and conditions:

1. The Promoter is: RentPay Technology Pty Ltd, ACN 636 254 709, of registered office address Level 1, 3 Craig Street, Burswood, Western Australia. The above-mentioned company will hereafter be referred to as the ‘Promoter’.
2. Employees of the Promoter or their family members, or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition, shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
3. Any RentPay account that is deemed active as at 31 August 2024 will not be eligible for this competition.
4. Entrants must meet all the below criteria within the period of 1 September 2024 to 30 September 2024 inclusive to be eligible for competition entry:
   a. The entrant is a tenant named in a current lease agreement for a residential rental property in Australia;
   b. The entrant is either a new RentPay user, or a returning RentPay user who has reactivated an account which has been inactive as at 31 August 2024. Inactive RentPay accounts are defined as those accounts that have not made a rent payment in a calendar month;
   c. The entrant has funded at least one full regular rent payment (i.e. weekly, fortnightly or monthly as per the entrant’s current lease agreement) into the entrant’s digital RentPay wallet;
   d. At least one full regular rent payment (i.e. weekly, fortnightly or monthly as per the entrant’s current lease agreement) has been paid from the entrant’s digital RentPay wallet to the entrant’s property manager or landlord; and
   e. The entrant has an active RentPay account and has not made a request to close the account as at the date of the prize draw.
5. The opening date for competition will be Sunday 12:01am (AEST) on 1 September 2024. Closing date for entry will be Monday 11:59pm (AEST) on 30 September 2024. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
7. The rules of the competition and the prize for each winner are as follows:
   a. Each eligible entrant constitutes as one (1) entry into the competition.
   b. Three (3) eligible entrants will be randomly selected by the Promoter as the competition winners to receive a prize.
   c. The prize is for one (1) week’s rent (as per the entrant’s lease agreement) up to a maximum value of $1,500.
   d. The one (1) week’s rent prize money will be paid directly by the Promoter into the winner’s RentPay account.
   e. The Promoter reserves the right to confirm the entrant’s eligibility details, including the weekly rent amount, and property manager or landlord’s details, before awarding the prize.
   f. The entrant agrees to be named and/or participate in any related marketing or post-competition promotion activities and communications.
8. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter.
9. The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate competition details supplied to any entrant by any third party.
10. No alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and the Promote reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
11. Winners will be drawn by Friday 4 October 2024.
12. The winners will be notified by email and/or letter by Friday 18 October 2024. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
13. The Promoter will notify the winner when the prize will be awarded.
14. The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
15. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her acceptance and agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
16. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
